An F-4 tornado struck the city
of Moore, just south of Oklahoma City on the afternoon of May
8th. Its path was eerily similar to the damage path of the incredible
F-5 tornado that devastated the same area on May 3rd, 1999. It
did incredible damage across Interstate highways 35, 40 &
240. Part of Tinker air force base was hit and the tornado made
a direct hit on the local General Motors automotive plant. It
was on the ground for about 19 miles.
